I get asked all the time: “What if you can’t afford grassfed meat? What do you tell people then?”. Well,… I usually don’t have an answer for those who “can’t”.
We have the power to do whatever we want. Being able to eat the right food should not be something that challenges you. There is always a way, with everything in life.
So for those of you who aren’t eating grassfed because of price, Josh H. was nice to compile a list:
Here are Josh’s cheapskate Paleo finds:
Trader Joe’s:
Kerrygold Grass-Fed Irish Butter $2.99/8oz
Grass-Fed 85/15 Ground Chuck $6.49/lb
Adkins Ranch Grass-Fed Lamb Chops $11.49/lb
Applegate Farms “Great Organic” Uncured Grass-Fed Hot Dogs $3.99/12oz
(Note that Applegate farms makes “Organic” and “Great Organic”, only the latter are grass-fed.)
Wild Ahi Tuna (not grass-fed, obviously, but Paleo) $14.99/lb
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (forget price, but relatively cheap).
Fresh and Easy
Grass-Fed 85/15 Ground Chuck $6.49/lb
(For some reason the preformed patties are actually a little cheaper per oz at $ 3.69/10oz)
Grass-Fed Ribeye Steaks $13.99/lb
They also have Kerrygold butter, but more expensive than TJ’s
